Within 20 days after taking power, Tejashwi Yadav would enact legislation ensuring one person from every household had a job.
Tejashwi Yadav, the head of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), made a broad election pledge on Thursday, saying that every family in Bihar will have at least one government job if the opposition alliance wins the state’s next election.
During a press conference, Yadav stated that his administration would enact legislation to ensure employment for one person per home within 20 days of taking office. “No home will be left without a job in the new Bihar,” he declared.

The ruling JD(U)-BJP alliance was criticized by the former Deputy Chief Minister for allegedly failing to address the escalating unemployment situation. Yadav claimed that the administration has been ignoring the most important problem, unemployment, for the past 20 years.
He went on to criticize the NDA, saying, “They only discuss unemployment benefits.” We are discussing actual employment. Every Bihar home would have a government employee within 20 months of the government’s formation.
With only a few weeks to go until the assembly elections, Yadav’s announcement sets the tone for what is expected to be a campaign focused on youth ambitions, governance, and employment in Bihar.
