Sergio Busquets debuted for Barcelona in 2008, later joining Inter Miami. He was part of Spain’s golden generation, winning World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012.

The renowned midfielder from Spain, Sergio Busquets, has made a significant career statement by announcing that he will be retiring from professional football at the conclusion of the current MLS season.

After playing for Barcelona for almost 20 years, Busquets joined Inter Miami in 2023 and is presently a member of the team. One of the most illustrious careers in contemporary football history comes to an end with the decision.

“I believe that my time as a professional soccer player is coming to an end. In an emotional Instagram video, the 37-year-old midfielder stated, “I have been enjoying this amazing story that I have always dreamed of for almost 20 years.”

After graduating from Barcelona’s youth system, Busquets went on to make 722 appearances for the Catalan powerhouses, which is the third-most in the club’s history. He won 32 trophies throughout these outings, including three UEFA Champions League triumphs, seven Copa del Rey victories, and nine La Liga titles. He has won 36 major trophies in his career, including ones in Barcelona, Spain, and Miami.

Sergio Busquets made 143 games for Spain, playing a part in both the 2012 UEFA Euro victory and the 2010 World Cup winning squad.
