India A captain Ruturaj Gaikwad produced yet another classy batting performance, scoring a brilliant century against Sri Lanka A in the ongoing tri-series. The right-handed batter reached his hundred off 112 balls, marking his 21st List-A century and further strengthening his reputation as one of India’s most consistent white-ball performers.

The knock from Ruturaj Gaikwad was built on patience and control, as he focused on rotating strike and finding gaps rather than playing risky shots. He struck only nine boundaries but kept the scoreboard moving steadily throughout his innings.

Ruturaj Gaikwad equals Indian legends

With this milestone, Ruturaj Gaikwad has now equaled the List-A century record of Indian legends Rahul Dravid and Gautam Gambhir, both of whom also finished their careers with 21 hundreds in the format.

The achievement places Ruturaj Gaikwad in an elite category of Indian batters known for their consistency and long-format dominance in one-day cricket.

The match is part of the tri-series featuring India A, Sri Lanka A, and Afghanistan A. The century by Ruturaj Gaikwad gave India A a strong start to their campaign and highlighted his importance in the squad.
