PV Sindhu falls to An Se Young in straight sets in the 2025 China Masters quarterfinals, as the Korean star dominates the 30-year-old Indian

New Delhi: The top shuttler from India, PV Sindhu, has been dropped from the current China Masters 2025. Sindhu defeated top-seeded An Se Young in the quarterfinals after putting on an outstanding effort in the round of 16. The 30-year-old was eliminated from the competition after losing to the world number one in straight sets.

Se Young eliminated the Indian ace after defeating Sindhu 14-21, 13-21 in just 38 minutes. It’s important to remember that Sindhu has now lost eight straight games against the Korean and has not yet defeated Se Young.

Despite another strong start to the competition, PV Sindhu exits an event toward the end. In the forthcoming competitions, she intends to get better and, ideally, win some of them. Regarding An Se Young, the tournament’s semifinal matchup will pit the top seed against Akane Yamaguchi.
