Pakistan Shaheens beat India A by 8 wickets in Doha as India collapsed from 91/3 to 136 all out. Maaz Sadaqat’s unbeaten 79 led the chase in the Asia Cup Rising Stars.

Doha: A mysterious batting slump left India looking like a favorite. an eight-wicket loss to Pakistan Shaheens in Sunday’s Asia Cup Rising Stars competition.

India A was riding along at 91 for three in the tenth over when the Pakistan Shaheens, who had won the toss and decided to field, made an incredible comeback to bowl them out for 136.

Even though India lost for the first time after winning the first game against the UAE, the Shaheens responded by chasing down the goal of 137 with 40 balls remaining to win the event for the second time in a row.

Shaheens’ opener Maaz Sadaqat finished with an undefeated 47-ball 79 to lead the team after grabbing two wickets with his left-arm spin bowling.

Sadaqat got a life when Vaibhav Suryavanshi dropped a sitter at point, and he hit seven fours and four sixes during his innings.

With medium pacer Shahid Aziz taking 3/24 in three overs, the bowlers forced Pakistan back into the match after teenage batting star Suryavanshi scorched his way to a 28-ball 45 and Naman Dhir slammed a 20-ball 35 when asked to bat first.

After looking at a total of roughly 175 to 180 at the midway point, India lost eight wickets for 35 runs in the final 10 overs, with Saad Masood and Maaz Sadaqat taking two wickets each.

Following a record-breaking century in the previous game, Suryavanshi was mostly hitting fours and sixes. However, as he was attempting to hit one too many, the 14-year-old southpaw holed out in the deep, where long-on fielder Mohammad Faiq maintained his composure to stay inside the ropes and finish a fine catch off Sufiyan Muqeem’s bowling.

The game’s outcome was altered by Suryavanshi’s wicket, which was verified by several replays, as Pakistan valiantly fought back to silence the remaining India A batsmen.

The huge breakthrough gave them confidence, and players like Aziz, Masood, and Sadaqat subsequently displayed great discipline to put further pressure on India A.
