KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan hit centuries in the second unofficial Test vs Australia A, leading India A to a five-wicket victory with standout performances.

In Lucknow:  In the continuing series between the two teams, India A defeated Australia A in the second unofficial test. After a fierce match between the two teams at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on September 23, India A emerged victorious.

With outstanding performances from McSweeney, Jack Edwards, and Murphy, Australia A started the match by batting first and amassing 420 runs. India’s batting performance was poor, as they were only able to score 194 runs in the first innings. As Australia collapsed against India’s outstanding bowling, they were unable to capitalize on their advantage. In the second innings, the visitors were restricted to 184 runs, leaving the hosts with 412 runs to chase.

N. Jagadeesan and KL Rahul batted first for India A as they began their innings in an attempt to chase down the enormous target. In 55 deliveries, Jagadeesan scored 36 runs, but KL Rahul’s knock was the most notable. Rahul opened the innings with 176 runs in 210 deliveries. The opener helped the team win the match and stood tall for India all the way through.

Moreover, Sai Sudharsan also reached his century. With a strong partnership with Rahul, Sudharsan amassed 100 runs in 172 deliveries, assisting India in winning the match by five wickets. For Australia A, Todd Murphy claimed three wickets in the first innings, making him the highest wicket-taker. Corey Rocchiccioli also claimed two wickets.
