It appears that his countryman and seasoned full-back Jordi Alba announced his own retirement from professional football at the end of the current season.
Now playing for Inter Miami, Alba thanked the supporters and conveyed his appreciation in an Instagram post announcing his retirement. Additionally, he reflected on his illustrious career and discussed the meaning of football to him.
