Haryana Steelers players visited the academy in Dighal on Friday, engaging with the young talent there.

The Brigadier Ran Singh (BRS) Kabaddi Academy in Dighal was announced by the Haryana Steelers, a member of the PKL franchise, on Friday. It is worth noting that this is the first licensed academy in Haryana for the team, which is a substantial stride toward the development of grassroots kabaddi in the state.

The academy, which is managed by the esteemed Haryanvi artist and entrepreneur Kulbir Ahlawat, has played a critical role in the development of kabaddi talent in rural Haryana. The Haryana Steelers’ objective is to offer young athletes a structured and unambiguous transition from the grassroots level to the professional level through this partnership.

Haryana Steelers will collaborate with BRS Academy to develop a performance pathway that is specifically tailored to the needs of various age categories.

Sports Science Support: The team will provide assistance in the introduction of sports science expertise and the recruitment of qualified professionals to assure the holistic development of athletes.

Direct Pathway to HS Academy: The Haryana Steelers Academy at MDU will offer direct trial opportunities to top-performing players from BRS Academy, establishing a transparent pathway from grassroots to elite kabaddi.

Exposure to the Main Team: During the season, selected athletes will have the opportunity to train with the Haryana Steelers senior team, thereby obtaining firsthand experience of the professional environment.

Masterclasses: The technical, tactical, and muscular aspects of the game will be the primary focus of four masterclasses conducted annually by the Haryana Steelers’ A-team performance staff for both academy athletes and coaches.
