Abhishek Sharma shines as ICC Player of the Month for September, scoring 314 runs in Asia Cup 2025 and becoming the top T20I batter with a record 931 rating points.

Abhishek Sharma, a flashy Indian opener, has been named the ICC Player of the Month for September. The 25-year-old put on a sequence of amazing performances in the Asia Cup 2025, scoring 314 runs in seven matches at an incredible strike rate of 200. He was the tournament’s top run-scorer, and India won the title by beating Pakistan in the final.

Kuldeep Yadav, who plays with Abhishek, and Brian Bennett from Zimbabwe were also in the running for Player of the Month. Abhishek, on the other hand, said he was glad to help out in critical games and proud of how the team did in the Asia Cup after being named the winner. He also complimented the people in charge of the team for letting him play an aggressive style of cricket.

Abhishek is also the best T20I player in the ICC men’s rankings.

He also set a new record for the most career rating points, at 931. He beat Dawid Malan’s record of 919 points at one point.
