Actor Sonu Sood has received backlash on social media after defending a food vendor’s behavior of spitting on his customer’s food. Kangana Ranaut, an actor and politician, has now slammed him for his views.

Kangana blasts Sonu

The actor-turned-MP came to X, formerly known as Twitter, to criticize Sonu, who is recognized for his humanitarian efforts. “Next thing you know, Sonu ji will direct his own Ramayana based on his personal discoveries about God and religion.” She posted, “Wah kya baat hai Bollywood se ek aur Ramayana.”

Earlier this week, a user on X posted a video of a youngster cooking rotis for his customers, causing a stir. It featured footage of him spitting on the dough. The video was in response to Sonu’s protest to the Uttar Pradesh and Haridwar authorities’ stipulation that eateries along the Kanwar Yatra route disclose their owners’ identities.

The user responded to Sonu’s tweet, writing, “The roti smeared with spit should be parcelled to Sonu Sood, so that brotherhood remains intact!”

Responding, Sonu said, “Our Shri Ram Ji ate the sour berries of Shabri, so why can’t I? Violence can be fought by nonviolence, my brother. Humanity must simply remain intact. “Jai Shri Ram”.
