New Delhi: The prestigious engineering entrance examination has been rocked by a major controversy after concerns emerged regarding a possible JEE Advanced 2026 Data Leak, triggering alarm across the education sector and prompting urgent action from authorities.
JEE Advanced 2026 Data Leak Sparks Nationwide Concern
The issue came to light after a cybersecurity researcher claimed that the result-related cloud storage system of JEE Advanced 2026 Data Leak was left improperly configured, making sensitive student information publicly accessible.
Reports suggest that the exposed data may include names, dates of birth, mobile numbers, ranks, subject-wise marks, and other personal details of more than 1.79 lakh candidates. Additionally, nearly 1.87 lakh admit card PDFs are also suspected to be part of the JEE Advanced 2026 Data Leak exposure.
IIT Roorkee Admits Security Lapse
The conducting body, IIT Roorkee, has acknowledged a technical flaw linked to cloud storage configuration. Officials clarified that the data was in “read-only” mode and could not be modified, but admitted that the situation still qualifies as a serious security lapse contributing to the JEE Advanced 2026 Data Leak concerns.
