India Neutralizes Chinese made Lahore Air Defence System After Pakistan’s Failed Military Strike Attempt
New Delhi | May 8, 2025 — In a decisive military response, India has neutralized key air defence systems in Lahore and launched precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). This retaliation follows Pakistan’s attempted drone and missile attacks on multiple Indian military targets on the night of May 7–8.
According to a statement released by the Indian government today, the Indian Armed Forces targeted Pakistan’s Air Defence Radars and critical military infrastructure. One of the most significant outcomes of this operation was the confirmed neutralization of an air defence installation in Lahore—marking a major blow to Pakistan’s aerial defence capability.
“Indian response has been in the same domain with the same intensity as Pakistan,” the government said, signaling a firm stance on national security and deterrence.

In an act described as “unprovoked aggression,” Pakistan launched drones and missiles at several Indian military locations across the northern and western regions. Targeted cities included:

“Targets moving towards Indian airspace were successfully neutralized,” confirmed a senior defence official, citing input from multiple domain experts.
Indian Precision Strikes: Terror Camps Hit
In response, the Indian Armed Forces launched precision airstrikes on nine high-value terror camps associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen.

Simultaneously, Pakistan has intensified its cross-border shelling using mortars and heavy-calibre artillery across several key sectors in Jammu and Kashmir:

These indiscriminate attacks have resulted in the deaths of 16 civilians, including three women and five children. India responded with targeted artillery fire to silence the Pakistani guns and prevent further casualties.
