Significance of Hanuman Jayanti

Lord Hanuman, also known as Anjaneya or Maruti, is revered as a symbol of unwavering devotion and immense strength. According to Hindu mythology, he played a pivotal role in the epic Ramayana, assisting Lord Rama in his quest to rescue Goddess Sita from the demon king Ravana. In various regions of India, Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated twice a year, with dates differing based on regional traditions and lunar calendars. The most widely observed Hanuman Jayanti falls on Chaitra Purnima, the full moon day in the Hindu month of Chaitra (March–April). This year, Chaitra Purnima falls on April 12, making it the primary date for Hanuman Jayanti celebrations nationwide.
