The Central Board of Secondary Education has confirmed that the CBSE Class 12 Results 2026 are likely to be declared in the third week of May, bringing clarity and relief to lakhs of students awaiting their scores. The board has also firmly rejected recent media reports alleging glitches and delays in the evaluation process.
Responding to these claims, Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that such reports are “far away from facts” and completely inaccurate. He emphasized that the evaluation process is proceeding without any issues under the newly introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) system.
Evaluation Process Running Smoothly
CBSE officials have reiterated that the evaluation process for CBSE Class 12 Results 2026 is progressing smoothly and efficiently. Bhardwaj highlighted that the current system is performing even better than previous evaluation methods.
The board has implemented the On-Screen Marking system fully for the first time in 2026 for Class 12 answer sheets. This digital approach is designed to enhance transparency, improve accuracy, and speed up the overall assessment process.

CBSE has also shared encouraging feedback from teachers involved in the evaluation process. According to officials, educators have expressed satisfaction with the digital system and its ease of use.

Reassuring students, the board confirmed that the CBSE Class 12 Results 2026 will be declared as per schedule in the third week of May. Students and parents have been advised to rely only on official updates and avoid misinformation.
“The results will be declared when they are prepared. People should wait till then,” Bhardwaj said, reaffirming that there are no delays in the process.
The Class 12 board examinations began on February 17 this year, with lakhs of students appearing from across India and international centres.
