EXTENDS GREETINGS ON OCASSION OF PRAN PRATISHTHA CEREMONY TO ALL CITIZENS OF THE COUNTRY
CHANDIGARH, JANUARY 21: The Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Sunday extended greetings to all citizens on the pious occasion of consecration of Lord Sri Ram to be held at Ayodhya tomorrow.
In his message, the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker said that all religions belong to everyone and no-one can ever claim monopoly over God.
“Though BJP has desperately tried to appropriate Sri Ram for political gains, Sandhwan said adding that this shameful act is not in sync with the tenets of our Constitution either,” the veteran leader said.
Wishing all citizens, Sandhwan prayed for universal brotherhood and amity and hoped the holy occasion of Lord Ram’s welcome to Ayodhya would lead to greater cohesion and prosperity for everyone.
Let us rededicate ourselves to the ideals of sacrifice, mutual respect and tolerance for contrarian views, as exemplified by Maryada Purshotam Lord Sri Ram. Let us try and evolve a society where all are treated equal and with justice for all, Sandhwan said in his message.
