Tamannaah Bhatia Recalls Being Called ‘Fat’ by Fan, says ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ Helped Her Embrace Herself
Actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently opened up about how a fan’s comment made her question her body image for the first time. After the release of her popular dance number “Kaavaalaa” from the film Jailer, a fan approached her and said, “Thank you for representing curvy women. You were so big and fat, yet you were dancing confidently.”
Tamannaah shared that she was shocked by the remark. She said she never thought herself fat before the moment. The comment made her realize how others sometimes view body image differently, and it stuck with her.
She also spoke about how her performance in the song “Aaj Ki Raat” from the upcoming film Stree 2 helped her regain confidence. Through that experience, she felt empowered and more connected to her body.
Tamannaah explained that earlier in her career, she believed being skinny was the only way to look beautiful. But over the years, her views changed. She now believes beauty comes from how one feels inside and how confidently they carry themselves, regardless of size.
