Soha Ali Khan warns about severe air pollution in Delhi and Mumbai, urging systematic changes to tackle rising AQI levels.

Actress Soha Ali Khan has expressed concern about the deteriorating air quality as the AQI reaches dangerous levels in a number of cities.

Soha emphasized the urgent need for structural changes to address pollution by sharing an image of the sky with a “toxic” sticker on Instagram Stories.

“The AQI is at a severe level,” she wrote. Nearly and upward. Toxic vapors are entering our lungs. Could we please solve this by implementing some systematic changes?

Both Delhi and Mumbai continue to experience “very poor” and “poor” air quality, respectively.

Around 7:40 a.m., a thin layer of fog formed over India Gate and Kartavya Path, resulting in poor vision and an extremely bad Air Quality Index (AQI) of about 350.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) said that Delhi’s total AQI was 337, a slight improvement over Tuesday. Five of the 39 monitoring stations located throughout the nation’s capital reported “poor” pollution levels, while 34 recorded “very poor” air quality. AQI values exceeding 200 were observed at six Mumbai stations, moving them from the “moderate” to the “poor” category.

Regarding her career, the 46-year-old actress most recently starred in the horror film “Chhorii 2,” in which she played the powerful role of Daasi Maa. The film, which was directed by Vishal Furia, is a follow-up to the thriller Chhorii from 2021.

The sequel, which starred Nushrratt Bharuccha in the major role, also included notable performances by Saurabh Goyal and Gashmeer Mahajani. Produced by Vikram Malhotra, Krishan Kumar, and Bhushan Kumar, the movie came out on April 11, 2025. She will play the lead in the next movie, Bridge.

Soha began her acting career in the romantic comedy Dil Maange More in 2004. She is well recognized for her parts in the romance Ahista Ahista and the drama Rang De Basanti. She wrote a book titled The Perils of Being Moderately Famous in 2017.
