Bollywood veteran Sanjay Dutt was reportedly named sole beneficiary of a ₹72 crore property by a Mumbai resident, Nisha Patil, before her passing in 2018. However, in a heartfelt refusal, he chose not to accept the inheritance and ensured the assets were returned to her family.
According to multiple reports, the 62-year-old fan, had instructed her bank to transfer all assets to Dutt, even though she had never met or interacted with him. The actor only learned of this through police communication after her demise. Deeply surprised and touched, he immediately decided against claiming anything from the estate
Dutt’s lawyer confirmed there was no intention to retain the assets, and legal proceedings were initiated to transfer them back to Nisha Patil’s family, adhering fully to applicable succession laws
Expressing his reaction, Dutt said, “I will not be claiming anything. I did not know Nisha, and I am very overwhelmed by the incident.” His statement underscored the depth of emotion and the moral clarity behind his decision
