Recently evicted competitor Kunickaa Sadanand has opened up about her journey, sharing her feelings, miscommunications, and the controversies that dogged her throughout the season as Bigg Boss 19 draws closer to its grand finale. Following her departure, the actress addressed accusations from other competitors and revealed who she felt was genuine on the Salman Khan-hosted reality program in an interview with Pinkvilla.
According to Kunickaa, age remarks had a profound emotional impact.
Speaking about Tanya Mittal and Farrhana Bhatt’s claims that she “played the age card,” Kunickaa said the remarks went deeper than what she appeared to be saying on film.
She disclosed, “Aapne badi dukhti rag me haath rakh diya, so… acha nahi laga.” “Maine bhale hi apna age card nahi khela lekin mere experience aur mere age ki wajah se mujhe zarur bura laga… main chupke se raat ko apne bistar mein royi bhi hoon,” she said.

She acknowledged that the narrative surrounding her age and experience made her feel vulnerable, even though she put on a strong front on the show.
Says Tanya Mittal Is “More Real” Than Farrhana Bhatt
When asked which of Tanya and Farrhana was more authentic, Kunickaa chose Farrhana without hesitation. She also addressed the controversy surrounding her remarks about Tanya’s “sanskaar,” making it clear that the phrase was used improperly at the time.
Explaining her perspective, she said, “I think jo main keh rahi thi aapke mummy papa ne aapko self-independent nahi banaya.”
Kunickaa went on to describe what she saw as Tanya’s privileged attitude, pointing out her reluctance to repeat clothes or jewellery and her possessiveness about her belongings stored in a 10,000 sq ft space.
I repeatedly told her that she could give some of her clothing to college-bound girls or to a poor child for his wedding. However, she said, “No, no, I am possessive and I cannot give it.” She said, “To maine kaha ki ye bahut hi disgusting thought hai.”
Regarding the “lesbian” remark: “We forget that cameras are watching us sometimes.”
Another important topic Kunickaa addressed was the uproar over her “lesbian” statement, which she feels was taken out of context.
“Usse pahle ek jhagda hua tha… the more we talk about it, it will have an impact on Malti as well as the rest of that community,” she stated, declining to provide more information.
Given her close ties to the LGBTQIA+ community and her experience defending transgender people in court, Kunickaa emphasized that she is not homophobic.
“That was not the right place, I should not have said that, and I should be mindful. We occasionally lose sight of the fact that we are being filmed,” she said.
