Mumbai: Director Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to rule the box office, with audiences and critics praising its star-studded cast and gripping storyline. Following the massive success of the first film, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has exceeded expectations globally, further cementing Ranveer Singh’s position as a leading action star in Bollywood.
Sara Arjun Cast as Yalina
Casting director Mukesh Chhabra recently revealed why newcomer Sara Arjun was chosen for the pivotal role of Yalina. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Chhabra explained that the filmmakers were looking for a fresh face who could authentically fit into the story’s world.
Chhabra said, “Though Sara had acted before as a child, she had never done a full-fledged role in Bollywood films. We held over 1,200 auditions before finalizing her. The idea was to surprise the audience and make them wonder who she is. Dhurandhar: The Revenge needed a character who felt organic and new.”

In the film, Yalina is the daughter of politician Jameel Jamali and becomes romantically involved with Ranveer Singh’s character. The sequel explores the evolving tensions in their marriage as Yalina uncovers the truth about her husband’s secret identity.

While the original Dhurandhar grossed ₹1,300 crore worldwide, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has already surpassed ₹1,500 crore globally, putting it close to the lifetime collection of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (₹1,788.06 crore). The sequel opened with a bumper ₹145 crore and has collected ₹959 crore net in India, surpassing the lifetime earnings of blockbusters like KGF: Chapter 2 (₹859.70 crore), RRR (₹782.20 crore), and Kalki 2898 AD (₹646 crore).
