Since its OTT debut on Netflix on January 30, Dhurandhar has shattered records, becoming the biggest opening weekend Hindi film on the platform post-theatrical release. Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, the film amassed 7.6 million views over the opening weekend. This surpasses previous hits like Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (6.2M views), Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter (5.9M views), and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule (5.8M views).
No.1 Spot in Pakistan Despite Ban
According to Netflix Tudum data, Dhurandhar topped the global weekly Top 10 list for non-English films in seven countries. The film has logged 26.1 million viewing hours and even reached number one in Pakistan, despite being barred from a theatrical release there.

Sequel Planned for Eid 2026
Dhurandhar originally released in theatres on December 5, 2025. The spy-action film features Ranveer Singh in a double role as Jaskirat Singh Rangi and Hamza Ali Mazari, following his covert mission in Lyari, Pakistan, assigned by the Indian government.
The film earned Rs 1,303 crore worldwide, marking it as one of the biggest box office successes in recent memory. Riding on this success, the makers have announced the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, slated for an Eid release on March 19, 2026, where it will compete with Yash’s highly anticipated Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups.
