Dhurandhar 2 CBFC Cuts : The much-awaited sequel Dhurandhar 2 is set for a grand theatrical release on March 19, following paid previews today. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan in key roles. However, ahead of its release, the film has come into the spotlight due to multiple edits suggested by the Central Board of Film Certification.

According to the certification report, the film underwent several modifications, with the Dhurandhar 2 CBFC cuts focusing mainly on scenes of extreme violence. Out of 21 suggested changes, four major visual sequences were reduced. These included scenes depicting eye-smashing, beheading, and intense head injury visuals involving a cement block and hammer. The cuts were aimed at toning down graphic content while retaining the film’s core narrative.

Apart from the action-related edits, the Dhurandhar 2 CBFC cuts also involved minor textual corrections. Dates related to demonetization were updated in subtitles, and the word “Lahore” was replaced with “Delhi” in certain parts of the film’s information text. Additionally, the filmmakers submitted an official letter seeking permission to use references to the Prime Minister and incorporate real news footage.

Following the revisions, the film has been granted an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certification. The final Indian runtime now stands at 3 hours, 49 minutes, and 36 seconds, slightly shorter than the originally submitted version. Notably, the domestic cut is over six minutes shorter than the overseas version, highlighting the impact of the Dhurandhar 2 CBFC cuts on its theatrical release in India.
