Arijit Singh Lends Voice to ‘Tu Hi Disda’ for Bhooth Bangla Despite Retirement

Arijit Singh personally approached filmmakers to sing ‘Tu Hi Disda’ for Bhooth Bangla, adding his emotional touch to the romantic track.

Even after announcing his retirement from playback singing in January 2026, Arijit Singh has delighted fans by taking up the song “Tu Hi Disda” for the upcoming film Bhooth Bangla. This marks his fifth song release this year, proving that his musical journey continues despite stepping back from new projects.

Arijit Singh Personally Approached Filmmakers

Sources reveal that “Tu Hi Disda” was not offered to Singh; instead, he personally reached out to Balaji Motion Pictures and composer Pritam’s team. He felt an immediate connection with the track and wanted to bring its emotions to life with his voice.

An insider said, “Arijit Singh approached the team himself, expressing his desire to sing ‘Tu Hi Disda’. His passion and understanding of the song impressed the makers, as his voice beautifully enhances the emotional essence of the film.”

‘Tu Hi Disda’ Officially Released

The romantic track, picturised on Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi, was released today, following Kumar’s teaser on social media. Kumar wrote, “It’s always special to collaborate with you! As always, thank you Arijit Singh for lending your magical voice to ‘Tu Hi Disda’.”

The song also features Nikhita Gandhi, with music composed by Pritam and lyrics by Kumaar.

Bhooth Bangla Hits Theatres Soon

Bhooth Bangla is scheduled for release on April 10, marking the reunion of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan after nearly 14 years. Alongside Kumar, the film stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani, bringing back nostalgic comedy vibes.

With ‘Tu Hi Disda’, Arijit Singh shows that even after retirement, his voice continues to captivate audiences and enrich Bollywood music.
