Piyush Mishra praises Ranbir Kapoor’s humility and genuineness, recalling their time on Rockstar and Tamasha and remembering Irrfan Khan.

Actor and writer Piyush Mishra has expressed his admiration for Ranbir Kapoor, characterizing the actor as one of the most genuine personalities he has encountered within the industry. In an open discussion with The Lallantop, Mishra discussed Ranbir’s demeanor both on and off camera, describing him as notably straightforward despite his affiliation with Bollywood’s most prominent film family.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Unpretentious Elegance Leaves an Impression on Mishra

Mishra, who collaborated with Ranbir on Rockstar and Tamasha, expressed that the actor’s cheerful and energetic demeanor on set made an enduring impression on him. According to Mishra, Ranbir consistently refrains from permitting his renowned lineage to affect his conduct between takes.

“Ranbir does not possess even 1% of his legacy,” Mishra stated, recalling how the actor transitions seamlessly from intense performances to a state of total ease once the camera cuts.

He further remarked with mirth, “Please, do not even inquire—he is truly exceptional.” I have never encountered such an unabashed and shameless individual until today. Mishra observed that, despite Ranbir’s descent from a distinguished cinematic lineage dating back to Prithviraj Kapoor, he remains entirely light and completely unencumbered.

Remembering Irrfan Khan: ‘He departed too early’

The discussion also shifted to Mishra’s recollections of his Haasil co-star, Irrfan Khan. He stated that the loss persists in causing pain. He departed prematurely, my friend. It is deeply painful… he was truly an exceptional actor.

Mishra clarified that although their relationship was not particularly intimate, there existed a mutual respect between them. To be frank, he was not a particularly close acquaintance of mine… We acknowledged each other’s efforts by stating, “You performed commendably.” That is where a rapport was established.

Referring to Irrfan as “very young” at the time of his passing, he further remarked, “Perhaps he and I did not forge a close relationship, but I have heard he was a remarkable individual.” May God grant peace to his spirit and bless his sons with greatness as actors.
Irrfan’s Departure and Ranbir’s Upcoming Motion Picture

Irrfan Khan died on 29 April 2020 as a result of a colon infection associated with his ongoing fight against a neuroendocrine malignancy.
