Dr. Ravjot Singh Assumes Charge as Punjab’s Cabinet Minister for Local Government and Parliamentary Affairs

Presides Over Introductory Meeting with Local Government Officials

Chandigarh, September 25

Dr. Ravjot Singh today assumed the charge of his office as Punjab Cabinet Minister for Local Government and Parliamentary Affairs in the presence of Member of Parliament Raj Kumar Chabbewal, his colleague Cabinet Ministers Aman Arora and Harbhajan Singh ETO, family members, party MLAs, and dignitaries.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh expressed his gratitude to Aam Aadmi Party Supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for entrusting him with the significant responsibility. Dr. Ravjot Singh pledged to diligently discharge his duties and make a meaningful contribution to the Punjab government’s initiatives aimed at promoting the state’s welfare and development.

Upon assuming office, Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh convened introductory meeting with Local Government Department officials. During the meeting, department officials briefed Dr. Ravjot Singh on ongoing development projects and initiatives under various schemes. Dr. Ravjot Singh directed officials to compile a comprehensive status report on these projects, aiming to identify and resolve challenges promptly, and ensuring timely completion.

Dr. Ravjot Singh emphasized the importance of teamwork within the department for the state’s progress. He stated that his primary objective is to establish a transparent and corruption-free administration in the department, aligning with his party’s principles. Dr. Ravjot Singh urged officials to wholeheartedly commit to achieving this vision, ensuring that Local Government department serves the people with integrity and efficiency.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Local Government Department Tejveer Singh, Director of Local Government Department Gurpreet Singh Khaira, CEO of Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board and PMIDC, Deepti Uppal and other seniors Officials were specially present in the meeting.
