22K & 24K Gold Price Today: After producing remarkable returns and surpassing the majority of international asset classes in 2025, gold and silver are currently going through periods of correction, with prices under pressure after a year that saw numerous record-breaking rallies, according to analysts.
Gold prices in Delhi and other major metro areas reflected the most recent decline in gold rates in India, according to traders.
On the domestic market, silver reached a record high of Rs 2,41,000 per kilogram on December 30 and gold reached a career high of Rs 1,42,300 per 10 grams on December 26. However, due to investors booking profits at high levels following the rapid increase, bullion prices have been under selling pressure.
Trump tariffs and the Fed’s pivot drove the 2025 rally.
According to analysts, the US Federal Reserve’s shift toward policy easing gave the bullion rise more impetus. Three cautious rate decreases of 25 basis points were implemented by the central bank in 2025 in response to indications of declining inflation, a decline in the value of the US dollar, and robust support for the prices of gold and silver.
According to Naveent Damani, Head of Research-Commodities at Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd., “a strong combination of macro factors, including structural demand and physical supply tightness, drove the rally in gold and silver over the past year.”
According to Damani, 2025 was a definite turning point for the Fed, as rate reduction were made in the face of divided votes and obvious political pressure. Bullion markets will probably continue to be sensitive to policy signals since US Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s term ends in May 2026 and a more dovish replacement is anticipated. “Despite short corrective phases, bullion is likely to react before policy, keeping the bias constructive,” he stated.
