Chandigarh, April 6 – In a transformative initiative to empower rural youth, the Punjab Government has successfully established 196 ultra-modern libraries in rural areas under its flagship Rural Library Scheme. Launched under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, these libraries aim to promote a culture of reading, foster intellectual development, and play a pivotal role in the socio-economic growth of Punjab.

  • Patiala: 18 operational libraries, 11 under construction.
  • Rupnagar: 12 operational libraries, 1 under construction.
  • Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar: 6 operational libraries.
