The Haryana government launched an international outreach campaign, titled Happening Haryana 2.0 Global Capital Campaign, in Mumbai. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated the three-day investor event running from August 23 to 25. State officials project that delegates will sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth over ₹66,000 crore during the summit.

During the opening event, Chief Minister Saini met with Haryana diaspora families living in Mumbai. He emphasized that his visit extends beyond securing financial investments. Specifically, he called upon non-resident Haryanvis to share innovative ideas and actively participate in building state infrastructure.

Expanding Industrial Growth Beyond Agriculture

The Chief Minister highlighted that Haryana is diversifying its economic identity rapidly. While agriculture remains a core pillar, emerging sectors like technology, logistics, and startups drive modern state growth. Consequently, the state government is building an investor-friendly ecosystem to attract global enterprises.

Furthermore, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh reiterated that streamlined policies are simplifying industrial expansion. He noted that the state offers advanced infrastructure, plug-and-play facilities, and quick regulatory clearances. Therefore, corporate leaders view Haryana as a reliable destination for capital allocation.

Engaging Diaspora Leaders for Youth Mentorship

During discussions, Chief Minister Saini called on Mumbai-based Haryanvi professionals to mentor youth back home. He urged industry experts to guide local startups and connect rural entrepreneurs with national markets. Specifically, he encouraged partnerships in artificial intelligence, fintech, and media management.

Additionally, state administrators are developing digital platforms to link students with industry veterans. These mentorship networks will assist local self-help groups and sports talent. Consequently, the state plans to integrate rural talent into global economic channels effectively.

Strategic Infrastructure Reforms by HSIIDC

The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) leads project implementation across industrial corridors. Bureaucrats assured corporate attendees that land allotment processes will remain transparent and fast-tracked. Moreover, the state introduced clear departmental ownership to address investor suggestions without delay.

Through targeted roadshows and institutional reforms, Haryana aims to secure long-term capital commitments. Chief Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar and senior officials joined the delegation to streamline business queries. As the Happening Haryana 2.0 Mumbai Summit concludes, the government expects new industrial projects to boost state-wide employment significantly.
