NEW DELHI — Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke announced a massive nationwide movement to improve government schools in rural areas. The youth group will kick off this ambitious initiative on August 15. The campaign urges parents to lead social audits and calls on village leaders to upgrade infrastructure.
Direct Action to Improve Government Schools in Rural India
The new drive aims to fix the longstanding neglect of rural classrooms. Furthermore, Dipke will personally begin the work in his home village of Hingoli, Maharashtra. He plans to meet the local head directly to demand immediate facility upgrades.
Dipke emphasized that the country is celebrating its 80th Independence Day. However, he noted that rural classrooms have suffered decades of total oversight. Nationally, leaders have constructed modern parliament buildings and lavish official residences. Consequently, he questioned why state authorities have failed to build decent learning environments for rural children.

Children of farmers and daily wage workers deserve equal opportunities. Today, many students still walk long distances to reach class. Upon arrival, they frequently find no clean drinking water or functional toilets. Lack of sanitation particularly affects young girls and forces many to drop out entirely. Therefore, the group insists that independence must bring real structural changes to rural campuses.
The Sarpanch Challenge and Citizen-Led Audits
To ensure progress, the movement features a practical initiative called the “Sarpanch Challenge”. Under this setup, the organization appeals to village heads nationwide to revamp local classrooms. In return, the group will highlight successful leaders by posting before-and-after photos across social media channels. Giving public credit will inspire other leaders to step up and improve government schools in their regions.
Additionally, the campaign mobilizes parents through direct social audits. Families are encouraged to visit local campuses personally. They will inspect critical basics like electricity, clean drinking water, working toilets, and daily mid-day meals.
When parents find missing facilities, they are urged to record video evidence. The movement will soon distribute a standard printable audit form. Citizens can download this document via links on official video channels. Afterward, parents can email completed forms and video evidence to the organization. This systematic audit gives rural communities a direct voice to demand quality public facilities.
From Street Agitation to Sustained Institutional Reforms
The youth organization originally began as an online satirical movement before transitioning to direct civic activism. Recently, the group held a 36-day protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi over widespread examination irregularities. That agitation ended on July 25 following high-level ministerial changes in the government.
Following those events, the organization held a strategic meeting in Chhatrapati Sambhaginar. Members decided to remain a non-electoral movement focused purely on public pressure. Earlier, they launched the “Kya Bolti Public?” campaign to address broader youth issues, including rising educational costs and unemployment.
Now, the group turns its energy toward structural primary education reform. Organizers argue that rural students must receive the same resources as urban students. The organization asserts that a solid basic education is a fundamental human right. Through combined parental vigilance and local leadership, this project aims to systematically improve government schools across the nation.
