Haryana Rajasthan Water Agreement MOU : Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that a historic water agreement (MOU) has been signed between Haryana and Rajasthan in New Delhi, marking a major step in inter-state cooperation on water sharing and river management.

The agreement was concluded under the chairmanship of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, with the presence of Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Paatil and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. The development is being seen as a significant milestone in strengthening India’s water governance framework.

Historic Haryana Rajasthan Water Agreement (MOU)

The newly signed Haryana Rajasthan water agreement MOU is based on the 1994 Upper Yamuna River Board framework. Under this arrangement, water allocation provisions for Rajasthan have been reaffirmed, ensuring continued supply as per agreed terms.
