Chandigarh, Haryana:  The Haryana government has approved procurement proposals and rate contracts worth over ₹18 crore in a meeting of the Special High Powered Purchase Committee chaired by Health Minister Arti Singh Rao. The decision marks a significant step under the Haryana medical services upgrade initiative aimed at improving the state’s healthcare system.

The move reflects the government’s continued focus on strengthening medical infrastructure and ensuring better access to quality healthcare across all districts through the Haryana medical services upgrade programme.

Major Push Under Haryana Medical Services Upgrade

Under the medical services upgrade, several key healthcare facilities and services have been approved, including Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) plants for district hospitals, audiometers, dialysis services under PPP mode, Unani medicines, intraocular lenses (IOL), and thalassemia drugs.

Officials said the Haryana medical services upgrade will ensure that essential medical equipment and life-saving treatments are more readily available in government hospitals across the state.

Strengthening District Healthcare Infrastructure

The medical services upgrade also focuses on improving district hospital infrastructure by enhancing diagnostic capacity and critical care services. The installation of LMO plants is expected to significantly improve emergency preparedness and patient care.

Through the Haryana medical services upgrade, dialysis services under the public-private partnership model will make long-term treatment more accessible and affordable for patients suffering from kidney-related diseases.
