The Punjab government has launched a new initiative titled Mission Clean Punjab, aimed at improving sanitation standards across cities and towns. The announcement was shared via the official Aam Aadmi Party Punjab social media handle, with Cabinet Minister Harjot Bains providing key details of the programme.
Under Mission Clean Punjab, the government plans to strengthen on-ground cleanliness operations and improve monitoring of urban sanitation systems across the state.
Daily Morning Field Monitoring from 7 to 8 AM
As part of Clean Punjab Mission , sanitation workers along with senior officials will be present in the field every day between 7 AM and 8 AM. This initiative aims to ensure real-time supervision of cleanliness work and immediate resolution of civic issues.

Officials will also actively inspect sanitation conditions in cities and towns, making Mission Clean Punjab a structured and time-bound cleanliness monitoring programme.

The government has also announced that video calls will be used to connect officials with sanitation teams in the field. This digital monitoring system is expected to enhance transparency and efficiency under Mission Clean Punjab, ensuring quick feedback and improved coordination.
