Ambala, Haryana – Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister, Anil Vij, has underscored the importance of timely file movement, stating that the efficiency of governance depends on the swift processing of official files. “The pace of the government is determined by the pace of files. If files stop, government work stops,” said Vij during a recent review, emphasizing that no file in his departments should remain pending without a valid reason.
The minister further stressed that delays in government files directly impact public services, welfare schemes, and citizen-centric projects. “It is my firm belief that if government files are delayed, government work comes to a standstill. Therefore, I never hold back any file in my department,” Vij remarked.
Haryana Efficient Governance: Timely Decision-Making to Boost Development
Highlighting his commitment to Haryana Efficient Governance, Vij said that transparency, accountability, and effective administration can only be achieved when decision-making is swift, clear, and result-oriented. He instructed officers to ensure that all proposals, schemes, and financial approvals are processed promptly in accordance with rules, preventing procedural delays from hampering developmental work.

Vij also reminded his officers and staff that government offices exist to serve the public and not to get entangled in procedural complexities. He particularly highlighted departments such as Energy, Transport, and Labour, noting that any delay in file movement in these sectors directly affects citizens’ daily lives.
An example of this proactive work culture was observed recently when Senior Secretary Vijay Sharma visited Minister Vij’s residence in Ambala Cantonment late in the evening to ensure the disposal of pending files. During the review, Vij instructed that no work or file in his office should remain pending and emphasized that any delays must be reviewed and resolved immediately. He described this approach not merely as an instruction, but as an administrative commitment to Haryana Efficient Governance.
With this directive, Minister Anil Vij reinforces his vision of a responsive, accountable, and result-driven government, setting a benchmark for administrative efficiency in the state.
