Yogi Adityanath Japan Visit: Boosting Industrial and Startup Opportunities in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath promotes investment opportunities and human resource exchange with Japanese companies and governors

Tokyo, Japan – Indian prominent statesman Yogi Adityanath Japan Visit marks a significant step in expanding industrial relations and human resource exchange between Uttar Pradesh and Japan. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh was welcomed by Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor of Yamanashi, along with members of the Japan-India Governors’ Network for Friendship and Exchange.

During the visit, Yogi Adityanath Japan Visit highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s economic advantages, emphasizing its massive population of 250 million, half of whom are young and part of the current labor force. He presented Uttar Pradesh as a land of immense investment potential with well-developed infrastructure, including 55% of India’s highways, extensive railway and metro networks, and the upcoming 5th Noida International Airport.

CM Yogi elaborated on logistics, transportation, and agriculture opportunities, stating that Uttar Pradesh contributes 21% of India’s grain production and offers vast land for industrial parks. He also emphasized the potential in sectors like waste management, cosmetics, dairy farming, hydrogen energy, and startups led by over 10,000 women entrepreneurs.

Japanese companies attending the Yogi Adityanath Japan Visit showcased their interest in collaborating with Uttar Pradesh:

  • Kanadevia Corp. focuses on clean energy, biogas, water treatment, and hydrogen supply chain technologies.
  • KOSE Corp. develops skincare and cosmetics tailored for the Indian market.
  • KYOWA Leather Cloth Co. plans to establish a production factory near Noida for artificial leather.
  • SHIMIZU Corp. targets infrastructure development in northern India.
  • Sumitomo Mitsui FGG aims to expand financial services for Japanese companies in India.
  • SUNTORY HD is exploring easier registration procedures for its Indian brand “Oaksmith.”
  • TOMOE SHOKAI CO contributes to the hydrogen energy supply chain and industrial gas demand.

Governor Kotaro Nagasaki and other Japanese prefectures expressed strong support for further collaboration. Indian consultant Neerendra Upadhyaya praised the rapid progress of both sides since the December 2024 MOU, calling it a “strong gateway for mutual benefit.”

The Yogi Adityanath Japan Visit is expected to strengthen economic ties, create a roadmap for industrial cooperation, and foster long-term partnership between India and Japan.
