Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Saini on Thursday dismissed recent political allegations, calling them baseless attempts by parties losing public support to divert attention from real issues. Speaking at a programme in Chandigarh, he cited claims like “Operation Lotus” as signs of political frustration, stressing that the people of Punjab now seek peace, development, and effective governance, which only the BJP can deliver.
On the issue of MSP procurement, CM Nayab Saini challenged the opposition to review the data, asserting that Haryana has achieved a national record by procuring 24 crops at MSP, benefiting farmers and boosting the state’s agrarian economy. He said the government wants farmers to thrive rather than remain stuck in protests.
The Chief Minister Nayab Saini highlighted trade deals with the United States and European Union, noting that these agreements will open new export opportunities for basmati rice, dairy, fruits, vegetables, textiles, automobiles, and heavy engineering, strengthening both the farming sector and the overall economy.

Addressing allegations about old-age pensions, CM Nayab Saini clarified that opposition claims are misleading. He explained that out of the two lakh cited cases, over 1.03 lakh beneficiaries had passed away, around 37,000 had incorrect age records, and 39,000 were pending verification. He added that the present government increased the income limit for pension eligibility from ₹2 lakh to ₹3 lakh in 2023, expanding benefits to over 20 lakh elderly citizens. Pension amounts have also risen by ₹2,200 under the current government, compared to ₹200 under INLD and ₹700 during 10 years of Congress rule.

Regarding Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) recruitments, the Chief Minister Nayab Saini asserted that the process is now fully transparent, ending the old “parchi-kharchi” system. Merit alone determines selection, and the state’s transparent recruitment process has been praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah as a model for other states.
