New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Saurabh Bharadwaj on Saturday raised a series of critical questions regarding the one-year performance of the BJP government in Delhi, directly addressing Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Bharadwaj highlighted the alleged mishandling of the case involving a bike-borne youth who died after falling into a pit in Janakpuri, calling the incident a result of government negligence. He also accused ministers and the Delhi Police of tampering with the crime scene.

On X, Saurabh Bharadwaj demanded explanations on multiple issues, including the increased fees in private schools, unemployment among bus marshals, and the controversial “fake Yamuna” project. He questioned why the filtered water mainline was connected to the fake Yamuna and who authorized it. He also raised concerns about the closure of AQI monitoring stations on Diwali night and manipulation of air quality data using water sprinklers.

Saurabh Bharadwaj further asked the government to clarify how many private schools had refunded increased fees, why the audit reports of private schools were not made public despite court orders, and the alleged nexus between Chief Minister Gupta and Bharat Arora, chairman of the Private School Action Committee and head of BJP’s academic cell.

On infrastructure and employment issues, he questioned why funds were spent on artificial rain experiments despite expert warnings, why 10,000 bus marshal jobs remain unfilled, and why government hospitals built with substantial public funds are being privatized.

Regarding the Janakpuri death pit, Saurabh Bharadwaj criticized ministers and police for allegedly covering the crime scene and questioned why the main contractor was not held accountable. He also raised concerns about six police stations that failed to register complaints from the victim’s family and why the Chief Minister did not visit them.

Saurabh Bharadwaj urged CM Rekha Gupta to provide detailed responses to all these issues, emphasizing the public’s demand for accountability and transparency.
