Ahmedabad/Botad/Surendranagar/Junagadh/Rajkot, Gujarat: Gujarat Pradesh President of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Isudan Gadhvi, reacted to the resignation of farmer leader Rajubhai Karpada from the party, highlighting his relentless struggle for farmers’ rights and welfare.

Isudan Gadhvi said, “Rajubhai Karpada has led multiple movements against atrocities on farmers. Thousands of farmers had gathered in Haddad for a historic campaign to abolish the Kadda system. Moreover, he had announced a fight against corruption and exploitation in APMC markets across Gujarat. Despite false cases and imprisonment imposed by the BJP government on him and nearly 85 other farmers and leaders, he and his team remained steadfast. While the exact reasons for his resignation are not clear, his dedication earned him widespread support from farmers and the AAP.”

Isudan Gadhvi further recalled that a massive rally in Sudamda, attended by Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, saw over 50,000 farmers participate. The unity and awareness of farmers pressured the BJP government to announce a nearly ₹10,000 crore farmer relief package. Additionally, AAP organized numerous Kisan Mahapanchayats across Gujarat, conducting justice panchayats in 13,000 villages and collecting over 80,000 support signatures, which were submitted to the Chief Minister.

Isudan Gadhvi added, “The BJP constantly tries to weaken farmer movements and intimidate AAP leaders. Even in jail, leaders and activists faced atrocities. Yet, the trust of Gujarat’s farmers, workers, and laborers in the AAP remains strong. Our struggle for farmers’ rights and justice will continue unwaveringly.”
