Gurugram, Haryana: Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh emphasized the crucial role of education in building a developed India and highlighted the state government’s ongoing efforts to transform the education sector.
Speaking as the Chief Guest at the annual function ‘Sarang’ of DPG College in Gurugram on Sunday, the Minister said education forms the foundation of national progress. Former Deputy Speaker Gopichand Gehlot was also present at the event.

Rao Narbir Singh noted that at the time of Haryana’s formation, regions like Gurugram and South Haryana were considered underdeveloped. Over the years, industrialisation and real estate investments have given Gurugram global recognition. Recognising the need to strengthen education, the BJP-led government has taken several progressive steps since 2014.
The Minister Rao Narbir Singh highlighted the establishment of Gurugram University as a key achievement, providing new momentum to higher education in the region. He stated that the government aims to prepare youth for global competition through quality education, modern infrastructure, and strong industry-academia collaboration, helping realise the vision of a developed Haryana and a developed India.
