Ahmedabad/Narmada/Bharuch, Gujarat – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Dediyapada, Chaitar Vasava, has written a letter to Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, urging him to ensure proper arrangements during the traditional fair and festival held at Devmogra Dham in Sagbara Taluka, Narmada district.
In his letter, MLA Vasava highlighted that the Devmogra fair has been organized since ancient times on the day of Chaitra Amavasya in honor of the clan deity, Yaaha Mogi Mataji. The event attracts lakhs of devotees from various states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. It holds deep religious, cultural, and traditional significance for the tribal community.

Vasava drew attention to the difficulties faced by pilgrims, pointing out that travelers are often unnecessarily harassed at police checkposts during the fair. He requested the government to halt such practices immediately. The MLA also urged that special bus services be arranged by the State Transport Corporation for visitors coming from different regions, with proper publicity to ensure maximum utilization.
MLA Vasava Calls for Comprehensive Safety and Facility Arrangements at Devmogra Dham Fair
In addition, MLA Vasava emphasized the need for comprehensive arrangements during the fair, including parking facilities, drinking water, night stay arrangements, adequate lighting, health services, toilets, cleanliness, fire safety, deployment of GEB staff, and installation of CCTV cameras for monitoring across the fairgrounds.
He appealed to the Home Minister to issue appropriate instructions to all concerned departments and district administration to ensure that millions of devotees do not face any inconvenience. “The government’s sensitive and responsible role is crucial in this historic event, which is deeply connected to the faith and traditions of the tribal community,” he said.
