Pidilite to invest ₹300 crore in Punjab, setting up a new adhesives and waterproofing plant, creating 300 jobs in Patiala district.
Sanjeev Arora, Punjab Cabinet Minister for Industry & Commerce, Investment Promotion, Power and NRI Affairs, has announced that Pidilite Industries Limited, a market leader in adhesives and construction chemicals, will establish a new manufacturing facility in Punjab with a proposed investment of ₹300 crore.
The planned project will be located in the villages of Majri Faqiran and Sohne Majra, Sub-Tehsil Ghanaur, Rajpura, District Patiala, and will cover around 31 acres.
Sanjeev Arora stated that the facility will concentrate on the mixing and blending of water-based adhesives and waterproofing products, with a total proposed capacity of 2,00,000 metric tonnes per year, consisting of 1,40,000 MT of water-based adhesives and 60,000 MT of waterproofing products. The facility will primarily serve the domestic market, with the potential to export to neighboring regions in the future.

The Minister highlighted the project’s employment potential, stating that it is expected to provide approximately 300 job possibilities, including direct and indirect positions in the skilled, semi-skilled, and supervisory categories. He further stated that the facility will be designed with contemporary process equipment, utilities, and specialized Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) systems in accordance with best industry practices.

Pidilite Industries Limited, founded in 1969, is an innovator and industry leader in consumer and specialty chemicals in India, having a strong presence in adhesives and sealants, building chemicals, industrial resins, pigments, and art and craft materials. Its flagship brand, Fevicol, is one of the most trusted in the country.
Sanjeev Arora remarked that the projected Punjab site is part of Pidilite’s strategy to expand its manufacturing presence in North India and address rising regional demand. The project will be wholly funded through internal accruals and is expected to begin commercial production in December 2027.
The Minister went on to say that this significant investment demonstrates Punjab’s growing reputation as a preferred destination for large-scale manufacturing, which is fueled by robust industrial infrastructure, excellent connectivity, skilled labor, and the State Government’s progressive, investor-friendly policies.
