Punjab Govt regularizes 1,000+ Forest & Wildlife employees; 519 senior workers proposed for regularization, salaries to be released soon.

The Forests and Wildlife Preservation Department ( Punjab Govt ) has regularized the services of over 1000 employees in the last seven months, and a proposal has been sent to the Finance Department (FD), Personnel, and Legal Remebrancer (LR) to regularize another 519 senior workers, as per the policy rolled out in 2023, who do not meet age and education requirements but have completed ten years of service.

Guided by the goal of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the department is fully devoted to taking every measure to help the workforce. Lal Chand Kataruchak, Minister of Forest and Wildlife Preservation, made this statement today while meeting with Janglat Workers Union representatives at the Forest Complex.

Regarding the union representatives’ demand to release salaries of workers who received appointment letters on July 30th of last year, the Minister was informed by senior department officers that the Integrated Human Resource Management System (IHRMS) IDs had been updated in this regard and that the salaries would be released soon. The Minister also urged the officers to ensure that workers are released and paid on schedule so that they do not suffer financially.

While patiently listening to the union’s many other demands, the Minister informed the workers that the government prioritizes their interests because they are an integral part of the department.

Other attendees included Priyank Bharti, Secretary Forests and Wildlife Preservation Department, Dharminder Sharma, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force), and Nidhi Srivastava, CCF (Plains).
