At the rear, the number plate shifts to the bumper. Inverted L-shaped LED tail-lamps enhance the modern look. Inside, Kia has redesigned the cabin completely. The highlight is a wide digital panel with dual 12.3-inch screens.
Feature highlights include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, Bose sound system, 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS. Despite the new platform, engine options remain unchanged. Buyers will get petrol and diesel engines with manual, CVT, IMT and DCT gearboxes.
Mahindra XUV 7XO and Skoda Kushaq Facelift
Mahindra will launch the XUV 7XO on January 5. It is essentially a facelifted XUV700 with revised styling. Updates include a new grille, refreshed lighting and new alloy wheels inspired by Mahindra’s electric SUVs.
Inside, Mahindra may introduce a triple-screen dashboard layout. Multiple seating configurations will continue. Power will come from the familiar 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. AWD will remain available on select trims.
Meanwhile, Skoda Kushaq facelift will arrive by mid-January. Exterior updates include revised bumpers and sleeker LED tail-lamps. Interior upgrades may add a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS. Pricing will remain competitive in the compact SUV segment.
New Renault Duster Makes a Big Comeback
One of the most awaited new car launches January 2026 is the all-new Renault Duster, scheduled for January 26. The SUV returns with a completely fresh design inspired by the Bigster concept.

It will offer two LFP battery packs, 49kWh and 61kWh. The larger battery promises a claimed range of up to 500 km. Inside, buyers get dual floating screens and Level 2 ADAS.
Nissan will enter the sub-four-metre MPV space with the Gravite. Based on the Triber platform, it offers a 2+3+2 seating layout. Features include an 8-inch touchscreen and multiple safety systems.
Toyota will unveil the Urban Cruiser EV in January. Closely related to the e-Vitara, it will offer long range, connected tech and advanced safety. Market launch is expected by March.
Tata Punch Facelift and MG Hector Diesel Update
Tata Motors will refresh the Punch with updated styling and a modernised cabin. A larger touchscreen and improved features are expected. Safety will remain a priority, with six airbags likely as standard.
The Punch EV may also receive range improvements. Meanwhile, MG Hector diesel pricing will be announced in January. The update includes subtle design tweaks, new colours and a refreshed cabin with a 14-inch touchscreen.
