CM Mann and Dr. Baljit Kaur direct strict adherence to Punjab’s Safe School Vehicle Policy, ensuring student safety during foggy winter months.

The Punjab government has prioritized schoolchildren’s safety and issued the required directives to avoid unfortunate events brought on by heavy fog in the winter. In this regard, Dr. Baljit Kaur, Punjab’s Minister for Social Security, Women, and Child Development, has ordered the Safe School Vehicle Policy to be strictly enforced throughout the state.

According to Dr. Baljit Kaur, the Punjab government is totally dedicated to protecting children’s safety and wellbeing under the direction of Chief Minister Mann. She underlined that every child must travel safely from home to school and return, as per the Mann Government’s explicit policy. Therefore, throughout the hazy winter months, strict adherence to all safety regulations pertaining to school cars is maintained.

According to the Minister, the Transport Department’s Safe School Vehicle Policy will ensure that all school vehicles in the state are regularly inspected and that all regulations are strictly followed in order to prevent any accidents.

Dr. Baljit Kaur highlighted important safety precautions, such as maintaining enough visibility, lowering vehicle speed, using reflectors, and keeping headlights and fog lights on during foggy circumstances. Vehicle drivers and school administrators have received explicit instructions in this regard.

She also told schools not to put too much pressure on drivers in the event that fog causes school cars to be delayed. Rather, it is important to comprehend the current circumstances and prioritize the safety of students and staff when they are traveling in school vehicles. She declared that the Punjab government would never, ever jeopardize children’s safety.
