Punjab Housing Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian met Israeli envoy Fares Saeb to discuss advanced water conservation, sewage recycling, and future urban development collaboration.

At his office in the Punjab Civil Secretariat here, Punjab Housing Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian met with Mr. Fares Saeb, Minister and Deputy Head of Mission at the Israeli Embassy.

Throughout the conversation, in-depth talks were held regarding the implementation of cutting-edge Israeli technologies in the areas of water conservation and sewerage waste water recycling, specifically for use in the state’s cities.The state government’s top concerns, according to the cabinet minister, are effective reuse of treated wastewater and sustainable water management, given the growing demand for civic services and the rate of urbanization.

Mr. Fares Saeb discussed Israel’s internationally acclaimed methods for modern urban infrastructure, water efficiency, and the reuse of cleansed sewage. To investigate the practical application of such technologies in Punjab’s cities, the parties discussed potential technical cooperation, knowledge sharing, and future participation.

Additionally, Mr. Saeb invited Mundian to come to Israel to see these technologies in action and to look into opportunities for further cooperation. In addition, various topics pertaining to cooperation and understanding were also discussed in a friendly and productive setting. The Cabinet Minister pledged to travel to Israel shortly in order to investigate and implement Israeli innovations for the state’s overall advancement.

Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Mr. Vikas Garg and other bureaucrats were among the notable attendees of the conference.
