Lucknow: As the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections draw near, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated its comprehensive election campaign. During the current political climate, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath strongly criticized the Opposition, focusing on prior administrations’ performance regarding the state’s power infrastructure and overall governance. Regarding the state’s electricity infrastructure, Chief Minister Yogi noted that Uttar Pradesh experienced a near absence of power supply prior to 2017. Past administrations favored obscurity, as criminal activities often transpire under cover of darkness…He asserted that a significant improvement observed in the state subsequent to 2017 was the dependability of the power supply.

Regarding the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list, the Chief Minister stated, “The SIR is currently in progress.” While you may assert that ninety-eight percent of the work has been finished, this assertion is inaccurate. In his address to party workers, he emphasized that each polling booth encompasses approximately 200 to 250 households, and it is incumbent upon them to ensure the correct execution of the SIR initiative. He alleged that the Opposition had illicitly registered ballots under the names of certain Bangladeshi nationals. Referencing a specific instance, he recounted a situation where the son was recorded as twenty years of age, the father as thirty, and the grandfather as forty. He emphasized the necessity of meticulously verifying such inconsistencies. He encouraged workers to formally object to fraudulent registrations and to verify the inclusion of all eligible individuals on the voter rolls.

Request to Object to Fictitious Registrations and Include Omitted Voters

The Chief Minister asserted that the opposition had introduced fraudulent electors, encompassing individuals identified as Bangladeshi nationals. He referenced atypical instances wherein a son’s age was reported as 20 years, the father’s as 30, and the grandfather’s as 40, thereby encouraging personnel to ascertain such inconsistencies. He instructed party workers to formally challenge fraudulent entries and to verify the inclusion of all eligible electors who had been omitted from the rolls.

“Uttar Pradesh: Four Crore Voters Absent from Rolls”

Chief Minister Yogi stated that Uttar Pradesh, with a population of approximately 250 million, should ideally have a voter turnout of 64 percent. He asserted that approximately forty million voters are presently absent from the electoral registers. He further stated that a significant portion of the missing electors are BJP supporters and underscored the importance of booth-level organization in electoral success. The Chief Minister further alleged that in Sambhal, voter registrations have been processed utilizing addresses originating from Assam. He stated that such discrepancies must be identified and rectified during the revision process to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.

Addressing the same gathering, Pankaj Chaudhary, the newly appointed President of the Uttar Pradesh BJP, stated that the party does not endorse either dynastic or caste-based political practices. He asserted that even a rank-and-file employee is capable of ascending to senior leadership roles within the BJP. Drawing upon his personal experience, Pankaj Chaudhary recounted that he received a Lok Sabha nomination from Maharajganj at the age of 26 in 1991 and has subsequently served as a Member of Parliament on seven occasions. He indicated that his present position constitutes the most demanding responsibility he has undertaken.

Chaudhary underscored the significance of party workers, stating his unwavering commitment to support them, advocate on their behalf, and address their issues. He defined leadership as encompassing active listening, effective problem resolution, and collaborative progress.
