Punjab Panchayat elections see re-poll ordered at select booths across six districts. Re-voting will be held on December 16, counting on December 17.

Panchayat elections: In accordance with the programme announced by the Commission, the general elections to elect members from 347 zones of 22 Zila Parishads and from 2,838 zones of 153 Panchayat Samitis have been conducted successfully and peacefully within the State. No casualties or significant conflicts have been reported from any location.

The Commission has directed a re-election at the following locations:- Block Samiti Attari, Zone No. 08 (Khasa) (Booths Nos. 52, 53, 54, 55) and Zone No. 17 (Varpal Kalan) (Booth Nos. 90, 91, 93, 94, 95) – District of Amritsar. Block Samiti Chananwal (Zone No. 04), Village Raisar, District Patiala (Booth No. 20), Barnala. Village Babania (Booths Nos. 63 and 64) and Village Madhir (Booths Nos. 21 and 22) in Block Kot Bhai, Gidderbaha District, Sri Muktsar Sahib; Village Chanhiya (Polling Station 124) in District Gurdaspur; and Polling Booth 72 at Panchayat Samiti Bhogpur (Zone No. 4) in District Jalandhar.

A re-poll will be conducted on December 16, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The counting of these will be conducted concurrently with the general counting scheduled for 17.12.2025.
