UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari paid tribute to the martyrs of the 2001 Parliament terror attack on its anniversary.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage to the security personnel who sacrificed their lives during the Parliament incident, stating that their dedication will be forever honored by the nation.

In a statement, Yogi Adityanath remarked, “The ‘temple of democracy,’ the Indian Parliament House, experienced a cowardly terrorist attack on this day in 2001, representing a brutal assault on the nation’s sovereignty, dignity, and the will of the people.” To the immortal champions who sacrificed their lives in this tragic incident to defend the dignity of the Parliament and the nation, a humble tribute. The country will remain eternally appreciative of their contributions. Jai Hind!

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also paid homage to those who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation by safeguarding the Indian Parliament during the abhorrent terrorist attack.

Saluting the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on 13 December 2001 to safeguard the temple of democracy during the terrorist assault on the Parliament House. Their sacrifice in safeguarding the nation shall forever be honored and remembered. Gadkari stated.

The Central Reserve Police Force also commemorated Constable Kamlesh Kumari of the 88 Battalion on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack, honoring her bravery and sacrifice.

Tribute to the Courageous… On 13 December 2001, during the terrorist assault on the Parliament in Delhi, Constable Kamlesh Kumari of 88 Battalion, CRPF, exhibited extraordinary bravery and unwavering resolve by pursuing the terrorists amidst intense gunfire and persistently relaying information about their movements to her colleagues. CRPF’s X publication states.

Due to her courageous efforts, all five terrorists were effectively subdued. During this incident, she sustained severe injuries and ultimately lost her life in the line of duty. For her unwavering fortitude and exceptional bravery, she was posthumously honored with the Ashoka Chakra. The courageous martyr is honored with everlasting salutations from #CRPF, the post stated.
On Friday, the Lok Sabha offered solemn tributes to the courageous personnel of the Parliament Security Service, Delhi Police, and CRPF who made the ultimate sacrifice in safeguarding Parliament during the terrorist attack on December 13, 2001.

The House reaffirmed its resolute commitment to preserving the nation’s unity, integrity, and sovereignty by maintaining a steadfast stance in the battle against terrorism.On December 13, 2001, five severely armed terrorists affiliated with the organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) assaulted the Parliament complex in New Delhi, opening fire indiscriminately.

Approximately 14 individuals, comprising security personnel and one civilian, lost their lives in the attack. The terrorist assault occurred approximately 40 minutes following the adjournment of Parliament, with approximately 100 members present within the building.
