Muzaffarnagar Krishi Chaupal sees farmers praise CM Yogi for sugarcane price hike, electricity relief, and improved law & order in UP.

Muzaffarnagar: The concluding phase of the Krishi Chaupal in four districts of Western Uttar Pradesh took place in Dahod village on Thursday. Over 350 producers took part in the event. The Krishi Chaupal was arranged by the cultivators themselves, and their involvement was likewise substantial.

Seated near the sugarcane fields, the farmers expressed their perspectives and engaged in a detailed discussion about the positive transformations that have occurred in their lives as a result of the policies implemented by the CM Yogi government.

The farmers stated that since Uttar Pradesh came under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, women, farmers, youth, and the elderly have all been protected, and criminal activity is declining in the state. Currently, each district is equipped with an equivalent electricity supply. Attention is being directed toward small and marginal producers.

Farmers utilizing private tube wells have been provided with significant relief. Crop larceny incidents and the involvement of the mediator have concluded. There has also been a historic rise of Rs. 30 per quintal in the price of sugarcane. Farmers of Muzaffarnagar conveyed their appreciation to Chief Minister Yogi for equitable pricing and prompt payment for their harvests.

The CM Yogi administration has raised the minimum support price for early-maturing sugarcane varieties from Rs. 370 to Rs. 400 per quintal and for general varieties from Rs. 360 to Rs. 390 per quintal for the 2025-26 crushing season. The rise in sugarcane prices is leading to an additional payment of Rs. 3000 crore to cultivators. This augmentation of Rs. 30 per quintal has offered significant relief to the cultivators.

Subhash, the village chief of Chittora, stated that since 2017, a significant positive transformation has occurred in the lives of all farmers in Uttar Pradesh. The state government has extended significant relief to farmers utilizing private tube wells by offering concessions on their electricity bills. The plunder of crops has now ceased.

Electricity is being distributed uniformly across all districts, thereby making agriculture a viable and profitable enterprise for producers. Currently, farmers are not engaging in acts of suicide; rather, they are strengthening their families through diligent effort and abundant harvests.

Farmer Kadam Singh stated that the CM Yogi government has introduced smiles to the faces of impoverished farmers. The unregulated practices of sugar refineries are now a thing of the past. The government maintains comprehensive supervision of the sugar mills. Currently, sugar refineries are prohibited from postponing payments. The attention of the state government has provided significant relief to sugarcane producers. If the farmers thrive, contentment will flourish in every household. Farmer Vinod Kumar Deshwal stated that since 2017, Uttar Pradesh has been governed by the rule of law. Offenders have either ceased engaging in criminal activity or departed from the state. The robust law and order system has resulted in a significant transformation in the lives of all residents of the state. Now, cultivators are able to contribute their invaluable share to the prosperity of the state; the credit is attributed to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
