Sachet–Parampara respond to Amaal Mallik’s claims on Kabir Singh hit ‘Bekhayali,’ calling his allegations false and demanding a public apology.

The dispute surrounding the highly praised track Bekhayali from Kabir Singh has escalated following the release of an extensive video statement on Instagram by the composer duo Sachet–Parampara, in which they accused Amaal Mallik of making “false and unfounded” claims concerning the song’s production.

Sachet-Parampara responds to Amaal Mallik’s assertion

In their statement, the duo asserted that they felt impelled to address the matter publicly for their mental well-being, accusing Amaal of persistently suggesting that Bekhayali was derived from an earlier melody of his. Their caption stated: Warning. This video could have served as a concise 10-second demonstration to dispel all rumors; however, revealing certain individuals became necessary for our mental well-being. @amaal_mallik Shame on you, Amaal Malik.

In the video, the musicians stated that Bekhayali was developed exclusively during collaborative sessions with the Kabir Singh team, including Shahid Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. They asserted that each component—melody, arrangement, and lyrics—was crafted organically throughout these sessions. They also asserted that they possessed comprehensive conversation records involving Amaal and members of the film’s team to substantiate their account.

The pair denied Amaal’s assertion that industry favoritism may have provided them with an advantage. They emphasized that prior to Kabir Singh, they had no previous collaboration with T-Series, whereas Amaal had been affiliated with the label since 2015. In response to his assertion that his melody may have been clandestinely shared with them, they inquired why anyone would undertake such an action given their status as newcomers.

To substantiate their claims, Sachet and Parampara presented screenshots of messages purportedly sent by Amaal, in which he congratulated them on the release of Bekhayali and conveyed his enthusiasm for the song. They stated that they had never possessed his contact information until he initiated contact first.

This was not anticipated from Amaal.

Describing the circumstance as profoundly disappointing, the duo stated that they did not anticipate such conduct from Amaal. They recalled that he had previously expressed admiration for the song in person, describing it as “fab,” while simultaneously criticizing the film during a meeting at the T-Series office. They reaffirmed that both versions of Bekhayali were composed in the presence of Shahid and Vanga, asserting that they “possess all the evidence.”

Sachet–Parampara also criticized Amaal for publicly making unsubstantiated allegations and for misleading supporters by depicting himself as a victim of industry misconduct. They contended that the music industry favors persistent endeavor over privileged connections. They emphasized that their discography—beginning with Har Har Mahadev—is authentic and cautioned Amaal against suggesting otherwise, stating that they would pursue legal measures if required.

The pair concluded their video by insisting on a public apology, asserting that Amaal’s assertions had undermined their reputation and resulted in emotional distress. They stated that they have consistently faced setbacks with dignity rather than assigning blame to others.

Amaal Mallik’s participation in Bigg Boss 19

Amaal Mallik recently concluded his participation in Bigg Boss 19, where he was a controversial figure and faced criticism from presenter Salman Khan regarding alleged bullying. He concluded the program as the fifth runner-up when the season concluded on December 7, 2025.

To date, Amaal has not addressed the allegations nor provided a clarification.
