CM Yogi Adityanath urges BJP MLAs and workers to prioritize Special Intensive Revision, door-to-door voter checks, and workshops across UP.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday issued a firm directive to BJP MLAs and party office-bearers: prioritize the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists as an essential task.

Chairing a meeting with legislators and party leaders at the Annexe auditorium here, he emphasized that the upcoming month must be exclusively dedicated to this effort.

During the hour-long meeting, Adityanath directed party cadres to conduct door-to-door visits within their respective constituencies to ascertain which individuals have submitted SIR forms and which have not.

He advocated for the organization of voter-awareness workshops at every polling booth within districts and the designation of particular responsibilities to senior staff members.

The chief minister stated that the team must also monitor voter mobility, including individuals who have relocated and those who have moved into the area.

He emphasized the importance of confirming whether newly married women, whose names may have been removed from their previous address, have been properly included in the voter list at their new residence.

Similarly, the identities of individuals who have migrated to Gorakhpur for employment must be included without exception.

Adityanath instructed district presidents to assemble teams of ten workers per booth—comprising five men and five women—to engage with male and female electors and determine the status of SIR form submissions.

Addressing the MLAs, he urged them to meticulously oversee each booth, maintain continuous communication with booth-level personnel, ensure accurate completion and submission of forms, and diligently observe notices issued during the claims and objections phase.

He emphasized that camps should be organized in rural areas with the same level of urgency as those in urban centers.

Referring to the rallies against SIR by opposition groups, Adityanath advised BJP workers to exercise caution and not be misled.

Do not presume that those opposing SIR are not actively engaged at the ground level. Their personnel are actively involved. He stated that BJP activists must respond with equivalent dedication.

He exhorted the party to contact every eligible voter, guaranteeing that no legitimate voter is overlooked and that no fraudulent name is allowed to pass. He emphasized that BJP activists must be accessible to assist each voter.

The meeting was attended by Gorakhpur in-charge minister Swatantradev Singh, NISHAD Party national president Sanjay Nishad, BJP state vice-president and SIR in-charge Dharmendra Singh, regional president Sahajanand Rai, local MLAs, district presidents, and SIR convenors.
